Brandon....

Brandon's been keeping me busy as usual. He's always been my "handful" even before he was born.
Hes had an awesome wrestling season so far this year, him and Jeff have traveled a lot. They have been to Colorado, Cali on several occasions as well as Utah. This was definitely the season to travel. He faced some tough competition and held his own.
I have a bazillion pictures and videos that I'll upload when I'm home. :)
He's had a great school year as well! He just recently made straight A's. I'm so proud of him.
I just realized, all Brandon pretty much does is wrestle. That pretty much consumes everything he does. Good thing he loves it so much!

Change...

Beginning of 6th grade...

Middle of 7th....

Alyssa....

Since it's been so long since I have updated I figured I would dedicate a post to each kid. Since she's the oldest, I'll start with Alyssa.

Of course shes still dancing! Her main show is in June. This year she will be in 13 numbers. I love watching her dance, even more so now that she has grown and matured. It's become more of an art to her now. She spends most of her free time at that dance studio and it's really paid off. She an amazing and beautiful dancer.
School, of course remains a main focus to her as well. She has maintained her straight A's and continues to be involved in the National Junior Honor Society. I'm so proud of her. Of course I am bias, she is my daughter after all, but it's clear to me from seeing her with friends and seeing her facebook page and reading the comments from her friends that she is just a beautiful person both inside and out. What a blessing!
She'll be 13 in less than a month. Something that she reminds me about on a daily basis. 13!! My tiny little baby girl, the one who refused to sleep through the night until she was over a year old...is going to be a teenager! Seriously, where in the world did the time go?! When I'm not thinking about that fact that shes growing up, I'm loving every minute of her. We share a relationship that is something I can't even explain. I am so thankful to share the bond we do, that she feels comfortable to share with me the sagas of her life and that she looks up to me and admires me and respects my advice and feels secure in my love.
Shes a great girl, I just can't say it enough. I love you Peanut!

Great Job Brandon!!

A few weeks ago Brandon received an award at school for creative writing. :)
Let me tell ya, the kid can write some pretty entertaining stories.
I'm proud of you, buddy!!

One of those days...

today is one of those days.
As I logged in to update this blog, I decided to glance back, just for fun, at some of my old posts. Probably not such a wise decision.
I know everyday that these kids of mine are growing and changing. But the truth is, I've been so busy I haven't really seen the difference.
Alyssa will be 13 in less than a month. a teenager!! Though in my mind I know and accept that, in my heart I'm in denial. To me these kids will always be my babies.
Where did the time go? A question I ask myself a lot.
It would be nice to slip back a few years, if even for a minute.

Lordy...it's been a longgg time!!

I'll admit, I let this blog go. I've been so busy! Being a mom is hard work...
Of course a lot has happened since I last updated in JANUARY. :(

I'll do my best to update from then till now and then I'll do my best to keep this updated as well.
Bear with me, cause this is not going to be in any kind of order as far as dates go.

* We just got back from state for Brandon's wrestling. As I have mentioned a number of times in the past Brandon moved up to the midget/intermediate group this year. The kids are bigger and older. Despite his awesome season of Southern NV wrestling, I had no expectations of him at state. I honestly just wanted to see him place.
To my surprise..he did well. He took 5th in Greco, 3rd in Freestyle and 3rd in Folkstyle. I was so proud of him!

* I'm also proud to say that he made straight A's on his report card as well! I have to give props to Jeff, he's the homework guy. I don't do homework with the kids. Thankfully, Jeff has that all taken care of by the time I get home from work. :)
I tell you, he keeps a crazy, busy schedule with wrestling 4 nights a week and working moves at home with dad on his "off" time. I wish I had the drive my kids do.

* Alyssa continues to excel as well. School, dance...it doesn't really matter. Everything she does gets 110%. Well, everything except maybe her chores.

* She was asked to help with the baby ballet class this summer during the intensive program. I think she would be great for that. Especially after watching her work with Gabriella. Gabriella knows all the basic ballet positions thanks to Alyssa. :)

* Gabriella has developed quite the personality. She is still such a sweetheart. She loves both Brandon and Alyssa, but I think Alyssa is her favorite buddy. She loves to be around her big sister.

* Jeff and I are both good. Nothing really changes with us. He works and does the wrestling thing. Him and Brandon have been everywhere this season. Colorado, Cali on several different occasions and well as Utah. I think this season was the most they have traveled. Its great for the boys and great for us girls at home. The "man free" weekends are always fun.

I've got a bazillion pictures to share...so hang tight. :)
