Family...

Jill and the kids are here for a visit, they came in Tuesday and will be here until 8/8. We have been having a great time, I promise to post pictures as soon as I get home and have a chance.
The kids play and get along like they have never been apart, it's great to see. Ryan and Brandon had a sleepover at our house on Wednesday night and last night I kept all 4 of the kids. Honestly it was great, I figure I'll soak the kids in (especially Lexi..or should I say Alexis and Ryan) while I have the chance.
Tomorrow Jill and I have a full day of shopping ahead of us...big surprise! It feels good to all be together...gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling...I'm telling you these damn hormones!

Reality...

It's already Sunday night...that means back to work tomorrow. I did have a somewhat enjoyable weekend though...minus all the cleaning I did.
I was able to break away from reality for a while, a good friend of mine kept both of the kids last night...yes, for the ENTIRE night! Though I missed them I must admit it was a nice break. Mom and I did a little shopping and enjoyed a nice dinner at Black Angus...the food was great (a bit much...but yummy) and it was nice to have just adult conversation..and laughs!
I was excited to get them this morning, the house is way to quite with out them.
So here it is...back to reality, bickering kids, spilled juice oh...and Brandon asleep in my bed. Ahhhh...I love my reality!

one more...

This was a gift from Grandma and Aunt Julie...Brandon LOVES pirates and loves, loves, Loves Captain Jack Sparrow...so here he is all dressed up...hair and all!

Argggggggg!!!

Ahhhh...I'm gonna scream

So...blogger is making me nuts tonight...It has literally taken me an hour to upload the pictures..and I can't figure out how to delete the copies...oh well. Some of the pictures came out kinda blurry...guess I had better read the "how to" book.

Brandon had a great party...everyone we invited came so that was good. I'm sure next year when he's actually in school we will have even more friends.
His cake was made by my friend Kim, it was a treasure box to go along with the pirate theme...it came out so cute...so thanks again Kim...we all loved it!

More Happy Birthday

Happy 5th Birthday Brandon!

oh the joys....

my back is killing me...I think I slept a total of 3 hours last night...of course having a large plastic buzz light year in bed with me was not any help. The Dr. says it's the position of our little Gabriella and really not much I can do about it. Though I have tried to convince her to move she is content right where she is.

One more thing...

Alyssa just called me...she got all A's on her report card again...looks like I owe her that cat game she wanted...

Random...

Today is Alyssa's last day of school...she will start the 4th grade next month! That's just crazy to me! When I walked her into class this morning she gave me the look...I knew I would not be getting that good by kiss...someone may see her.

We received her NV State testing scores in the mail last week...she got a 500/500! Yup, 100%'s all the way down the line...I can't tell you all enough how proud I am of her!

Brandon's 5th Birthday is Monday. We are having a party for him at Chucky Cheese, he is so excited! I'll post pictures.

Jeff has been working 6 & 7 day work weeks for the last several weeks. The money is good but I miss having him at home. He still loves his job.

I'll be 26 weeks pregnant tomorrow...only 13 weeks to go, besides being hot, swollen and a tad bit cranky everything is going great. She is growing perfectly and is such a wiggle worm. I love it and know I will miss being pregnant....wonder if Jeff will ever let me even the score and go for another boy...hmmmm...DOUBT IT!

That's about all for now...

10 years...

10 years has gone by so fast! I got the email the other day about my 10 year HS reunion! No way is that possible! Than (with the help of all my hormones) I sat for hours replaying the last 1o years in my head.

Prom, April of 97...almost a year to the date before Alyssa was born. I never could have guessed that . My biggest worry that day was my puffy hair and how we were going to convince our driver to let us have booze in the limo.
I, as a person have changed so much. I'm still in love with my husband, a rare case in young marriages (and let's face it, how well could we have know each other after only 5 months!) I can't tell you the last time I had a night out with friends (with out our kids) heck, I can't even tell you the last time I was in the bathroom with out someone either standing right in front of me or yelling from behind the locked door!
Having Alyssa changed me in more ways that I ever could have been prepared for, suddenly being up at 2am did not mean I was just coming in from a night out. At 5 pounds she taught me what life was really all about, she pushed me onto the path that God had been trying to lead me to for 18 years. Now my faith and my family are what matter most to me.
I feel Brandon was given to me to help me learn how to relax and take life one day at a time...if you know Brandon you would understand this. He is the perfect example of the power of prayer!
Through the wonder of Myspace I have had the change to reconnect with old friends, I'm shocked at how little some of those people have changed...people that used to be my best friends I share nothing in common with them now. Honestly I'm a little sad for some of them...choosing parties over their kids and still call them self mom...that annoys me.

So...10 years later...this is who I am...a mini van driving, church going, PTA mom of 2...soon to be 3...who would have it no other way...so that being said..
Wishing you all of God's great blessings!
Laura

FINALLY...

I can hear myself think...of course he is in my bed...but at least he's not talking!

Happy 4th of July

It's been a loonng day! We spent the day in Boulder City, something we have done for as long as I can remember. The kids (and Grandma) had a blast in the water park. Here are just a few pictures...

Happy 4th of July!
