First Communion

It's a bit late, but Alyssa had her first communion on 4/5. She has such a strong faith in God that goes well beyond just being at church. I am SO proud of her and can't wait to see her faith grow ever more!

Wow...God is good! I just put Brandon is his bed for the 1,000th time tonight...I think he's finally asleep! I had one of those moments when I put him in bed, ya know the ones where your heart just hurts because you love them so much. I realize everyday how blessed I am to have the family I do. So...here are some pictures of the little people who make my world go round...even in the "tough" times!

I seem to have a lot of these!

Alyssa has field day today...they have all kinds of fun games planned including ones where the kids get to run in giant hamster type balls and others that involve water. Thinking back to my field day days...man ours were lame. The kids had the option to wear a swimsuit too, we were lucky to get to wear shorts! Wow...times are different!

Jeff and the kids were in a small fender bender yesterday, nobody was hurt (thank God) and the damage to Jeff's truck involved just his trailer hitch...amazing considering the guy was going pretty fast and it was a freeway off ramp. Alyssa was scared and Brandon...well Brandon's exact words to me was "it was awesome". Yup...that's my boy!

We're planning on painting the kids room this weekend. Alyssa and Brandon will officially be sharing a room, though unofficially they have done so for the last year! We're getting bunk beds and decorating in a Disney theme that way Brandon can have his cars and Alyssa can do her Cheetah girls.

Tomorrow I will officially be halfway through my pregnancy...time is just flying by! I'm not sure who is more excited Jeff and I or Alyssa. Brandon is excited but I think he's more worried about having to share his mama. He's 100% a mama's boy...sorry in advance to his future wife! : )

Oh...and if things work to my advantage Grandma is gonna keep the kids (maybe Saturday evening and Julie and I are gonna catch a movie) guess I better run this by you first mom...but ya know you won't say no!

It's a....

stubborn baby! I know nothing more than I did yesterday at this time! Well, I do know that the baby is measuring where it's supposed to and all my blood work came back perfect...so I guess that's a good thing.
I'm gonna call a 4D ultrasound place and see about getting an appointment tonight...I just wanna know what this little monster is.

Crazy...busy

It all started last night with the schools carnival. I went straight from work to the school to help set up, I spent the next 4 hours running around like a crazed woman! My the end of the night my ankles were so swollen...than again what do you expect with 102 temps?! On a positive note we as a PTA were able to make a profit of about $3,000...not bad if I may say so myself.
Brandon is having a friend over for a play date today too. It's my friend from Church's son. The boys play so well together, I'm looking forward to having him. I also have leadership training this afternoon for a Bible School program that my friend and I are leading in the next week or so. Today is our teacher training class...I'm a bit nervous as...we'll I'm not a teacher...should be interesting. The program is called Galilee by the Sea, we will take the kids back to bible times by baking bread, wearing the robes and such they wore back in the time of Jesus, we have wood carving crafts, robe making, games to play that they would have in those times. It's been a long time in the planning so I pray we can pull it off. We have about 150 kids signed up as of now!
To end the weekend Alyssa has a play date scheduled for tomorrow too....if the temps come down I hope to get them out to the park...but the Vegas heat is here...so we shall see.

Where to Start...

This is my first official blog, I thought it would be a good way to stay connected with friends and family. Lets face it, time just slips by and I am guilty of the "I was gonna call you" syndrome...so hopefully this will help keep everyone in the loop.

I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant with #3, so far just like the other two pregnancies this one has been anything but uneventful! Nothing major just little issues...ya know how that goes. We go on Tuesday to find out what this little wiggle worm is. I'm so excited as that means the shopping can officially begin!
Alyssa and Brandon are both very excited, God has blessed our family and we are all well aware of that!

Alyssa called me after school today to tell me she was a winner in a reading contest they had been doing at school. I think she had read some 3,000 minutes since January ( that's only the time I track) the kid always has her nose in a book...not sure where she got that! Anyways, the prize she chose for herself was a barrel of sea monkeys! GREAT!
Brandon will start school in the fall, he is very excited. I can't believe how fast they have grown!
